Role Description

As an Industrial Programmer at Therma-Tron-X, inc. (TTX), you will be responsible for the development and testing of industrial programs and systems. You will coordinate closely with our Electrical and Controls Manager and fellow software and industrial programmers to program industrial equipment at various customer sites. This will include various industrial languages such as structured text, C#, and ladder logic. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and attention to detail & documentation is essential. The programming department is a dynamic environment where you will be immersed in many areas of TTX including; RGV’s, AGV’s, rail guided vehicles and other new product development, internal system PLC programming, Industrial Networking and more!

General Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of code and controls hardware to solve complex routing situations.
  • Programming, testing and troubleshooting of installed TTX industrial systems. Including a blend of networking, electronics and controls software.
  • Working with our research & development team to continue to develop new controls solutions for an ever-evolving field of technology.
  • Travel as required to satellite TTX facilities or job installation sites approximately 20% of the time
Qualifications

  • Proficient knowledge of industrial programming languages including items such as structured text, ladder logic, C, C+ or C#.
  • Hands on working knowledge of electronics & control functions.
  • Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles for building reliable and maintainable industrial applications.
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA, or embedded systems is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. This could also include experience in maintenance of industrial systems, or various technical military systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to work safely and efficiently in an industrial setting.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Sturgeon Bay, WI and occasionally support field commissioning or service activities as needed. (Open to discussing other hybrid/remote situations)
