My husband is a Master Electrician and was Plant Engineer until 2003 (10 years). He loves automation and would like to get his Engineering Degree one day. He has 20+ years experience working in Industrial and Commercial. We have our own business and have purchased the software (RSLogix 500) to complete his work in a local plant. Since we have the software, I suggested acquiring some jobs (subcontract) since Residential is so iffy and payments aren't always speedy (or made at all). We live near Richmond, VA and Raleigh, NC. Any suggestions? What are the pros and cons?

I am also an Electrician with a new Research and Development(RnD) firm, we are constantly wanting and needing to make changes to our logic programs. I am located in Manitoba Canada so I do realize that it is out of your area, so my question to you is. Do you have or know of someone who has this program (RSLogix 500) for sale? $1500 CND is far to expensive for a new company trying to make ends meet.
