Hi, It's quite easy to send an SMS from vb, but you will need a SMS provider, If your in the UK, O2 offer 30 free messages per month from there website.

As it's from there website it's possible to POST the information to there servers from VB.

A good person to ask for help and idea's would be Richard Lawrence from http://egenie.wibble.org.uk/.

He's coded a Visual Basic Application for sending SMS messages using the O2 gateway.
I'm sure if you send a friendly email along he can give you a few pointers.
