Dear Friends,

I am doing a project to send and receive SMS through a pc in visual basic. I am planing to use GSM/CDMA mobile phone and it is connecting through the USB/COMM port or bluetooth. I am expecting some guidence from experts on this field, can any one guide me? please let me know where i can find the nessasary information.

Try Beckhoff SMS. It is a standard module for their PLCs. I use this to send SMSs from my PLC logic but it is possible to use VB also:

So many middle men, with their licenses and restrictions and requirements. Buy a cheap GSM modem and talk directly to it. You should be able to find a TC35iT for less than 140 euros.

You may use U.C.ME-OPC software that may connect to any OPC or DDE server, or, any SCADA that supports OPC or DDE server functionality.
