Hello Everyone.

I am new to electronics circuit and all and I need your help.

I have a RO plant in my workplace Simply Astero 11 model. There is a float switch. If the water level in the tank is below full then NC contact and 0 volt will be there and if the water is full then there is NO contact and 5 volt is there. I want to take a feedback for indication purpose. So I took the contact of float switch to SSR of input range 3 to 24vdc and connected a lamp of 230 on SSR output terminal. But the problem is that as I connected the float switch terminal if the tank is full there is 5 volt supply is there. As soon as I connect the SSR the float switch change the contact in NC even if the tank is full. How to rectify this.

Can you post a schematic how the parts are connected?
Do you have a datasheet for the sensor and ssr?

You might also review the ladder diagram of your circuit

 

Are you measuring voltages between the two float switch terminals or from the switch wire terminal to 0V?
Check that you have the positive and negative wires connected to the correct coil terminals on the SSR. Otherwise make sure your SSR coil is connected to the switch wire on the level switch and 0V, not across the level switch.
