Steam / Water Injection

How can i find the following parameters as per the control system: (Mark 6)

· I = Percent Water / Steam Injection Referenced to Inlet Air Flow

· M & K = Water / Steam Injection Constants

Do i have to search in control constants list or somehwere else in m6b file.

If i don,t find it there, then where else can i find it.

Are you referring to NOx injection or Power Augmentation injection?

Have you looked at the Control Specification provided with the Speedtronic turbine control system?

The signal for NOx injection flow reference is WQR. I believe the signal for Power Augmentation flow reference is AQR. You could search the .m6b file for these signals and see how they are calculated.

Hi,
I was referring to Nox augmentation. this is basically a mechanical drive Unit with standard combustor.

I can find the constants in constant list. but there is no calculation mentioned in Mark 6, neither in Logic or anywhere.

Pls advise

Does the unit have an injection control valve?

GE has a habit of including Control Constants which are not actually used in the application code. This sounds like what you may be experiencing.

If you are unable to find any code for writing to WQR and/or AQR, then it's likely that the Constants are not used in the control of the unit.

Lastly, I've never seen "NOx Augmentation"; only NOx injection (for NOx emissions reduction) and Power Augmentation injection (for producing extra power by injecting steam into the turbine, increasing the mass flow through the unit).

I have seen both supplied on the same turbine, but never called "NOx Augmentation" and not controlled by the same control scheme or the same control valve.

Again, if the unit doesn't have any control valves for NOx or Power Augmentation injection then the Constants aren't used in the application code.
