I want to know how much time one should continue the filtration of oil of power transformer(2MVA). Is there any specific time boundation? For example If I get the improved BDV results in 5-6 hrs with 50-60 deg. temperature in Oil filtration machine, is it required to continue the filtration for some more time say 24 hrs etc etc...

Please clarify.

ABC... the simple answer to your question is, of course... Yes? The non-simplistic answer is, of course, "What are the test results?" The so-called "Condemning Limits" a term coined by one of my Employers’, a major supplier/user/marketer of transformer oil, was to seek advice from:

o AHJ, Authority Having Jurisdiction, in your locale.

o Your plant’s Insurer.

o National Specifications or Standards

o The transformer supplier.
