I have connected two converters back-to-back via DC-link capacitor. Also, I designed the control loop for each of them. When I demand the active power from one converter, the active power from other converter follows this demand. However, when I demand the reactive power from one converter, the reactive power from other converter DOES NOT follow the demand values. (For reactive power,only one converter responses to the demand.) Can anyone explain me why both converters response does not response to the reactive power demand? Why do both converters response to the active power demand?
