Which is the best for accurate flow
Vortex flowmeter or annubar for compressed air measurement in 12-inch line with 0.6 kg/cm²g pressure
 
You need to have a vendor size each, get the sizing sheet and then decide
- whether you can tolerate the Low Flow drop out (zero from 0 to 10% flow = zero), a characteristic of all vortex flowmeters.
- whether the process can tolerate the permanent pressure loss of the bluff body in the vortex meter and the typical one-size-smaller-than-line-size-body (generates a temporary higher flow velocity for an inherent velocity meter), compared to the permanent pressure loss of the averaging pitot tube.
- whether the turndown of the averaging pitot tube and its DP transmitter meets your accuracy spec.
Either could provide a mass flow measurement with the optional absolute pressure transmitter on the vortex or a multivariable with in internal absolute pressure transducer on the averaging pitot tube.

The maximum flow we require is 14000 Nm³/h & minimum required flow is 2000 Nm³/h (reduce line 12 inch for vortex & expand line for control valve )
