ABB's “Made in America” Offerings

The demand for precision in calibration is growing as engineers seek solutions that enhance the accuracy and performance of their industrial processes. The establishment of ABB's new calibration hall in Bartlesville will cater to North American market demands, proving ABB's dedication to an efficient and sustainable industrial operation while enhancing its production capabilities.

ABB's existing 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, serves as one of the company's flagship North American locations. With the addition of a calibration hall, ABB will bring its North American instrumentation manufacturing under one roof. The new 12,000-square-foot hall will be positioned to improve the company’s “Made in America” offerings.

High Accuracy Calibration

The new calibration hall is set to strengthen ABB's calibration solutions by providing customers with high levels of accuracy and quality in its full range of flowmeters. Accuracy in flowmeter calibration is the key to assisting industrial customers in using fewer resources and less energy. The ability to precisely measure the inflow and outflow as well as generated and raw materials simplifies performance efficiency for US plant operators in various industries, including oil and gas, chemical, hydrogen, battery, power, and water.

Timeline and Operations

A "groundbreaking" ceremony was held to mark the onset of the construction of ABB's new calibration hall. Notably, it was attended by the Mayor of Bartlesville, Dale Copeland, and Jacques Mulbert, President of ABB Measurement & Analytics. The new hall is expected to be complete by early 2025. It will benefit from the Bartlesville factory's excellent innovation history, dedication to efficiency and quality, and its closeness to customers.

Instrumentation Manufacturing

President of ABB Measurement & Analytics, Jacques Mulbert, emphasized the importance of the investment, stating that the new hall will put ABB on the path to improve its ability to meet the growing instrumentation demand in the North American market. He also shared that the move will strengthen and increase the US manufacturing footprint. The investment aligns with ABB's wide mission in process automation that aims to electrify, automate, and digitize industrial operations to improve safety and performance.
