Building Solutions Together: Comau and Automha at MODEX 2026
MODEX is a platform to present unified solutions for the supply chain industry. Comau and Automha bridged the notorious gap between speed and precision with robotics and automated storage solutions.
MODEX 2026 brought the entire global logistics community to Atlanta, showing off all-new standards for warehouse efficiency. At the show, Comau, a global leader in industrial robotics, joined forces with Automha, a specialist in automated storage and retrieval systems, to present a cohesive view of warehouse automation in the future.
The joint exhibit demonstrated to visitors how some of modern logistics’ most complex challenges can be addressed by merging robotic hardware with high-density storage systems, paired with software that can manage the entire process.
Robotics Paired With High-Density Storage
The supply chain industry is still working hard to smooth the transition between warehouse management and the hardware on the shop floor. Comau is addressing this by integrating a portfolio of advanced robotic hardware along with Automha’s automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) and warehouse management software (WMS).

At the show, Automha presented an AS/RS paired with robotis transfer units.
This partnership allows for a more seamless flow of goods from initial input to storage, and finally to retrieval when needed. The management software is a critical key to orchestrating the movement between racks and robotics, allowing companies to eliminate bottlenecks that often arrive once high-density storage is built, but the company still needs to maintain a rapid rate of hourly picks.
End-to-End Solutions
Companies often tend to be specialists, each one offering a fragmented tool in the chain, but this joint venture aims to provide a more "end-to-end" approach that covers every point of the logistics cycle. At this MODEX booth, these two companies highlighted how technology can be combined from specialists to streamline a few different areas of a warehouse:
- Inbound and Storage: Goods arrive and are stocked inside high-density automated systems, usually vertical, so as to reduce the footprint of traditional racks.
- Palletizing: Robots rely on precision to ensure both accuracy and speed, even among complex, mixed-SKU orders, which is increasingly common.
- Outbound Shipping: Once the products are packaged and palletized, the automated system should still ease the challenge of properly sorting and dispatching.

Comau AMRs facilitate intralogistic pallet handling.
Comau and Automha facilitate that transition from manual, siloed operations into a fully streamlined, harmonized logistics operation.
Strategic Investment Through Scaling
No doubt, the industry has experienced dramatic market fluctuations and labor shortages over the past several years, and most of the MODEX solutions focus on long-term operational resilience, not just a quick fix for isolated challenges.

Comau’s exoskeleton provides an augmentation for the human element of the workforce.
The technology on display at the Comau booth is designed to be inherently scalable through modularity. Scalability ensures that equipment decisions made today will remain relevant, even if consumer demand or product supply shifts over the years. Whether a facility is looking to upgrade a single high-traffic AS/RS point or conduct a complete multi-facility upgrade, Comau’s modular systems are fit for this incremental upgrade mindset.
A Unified Vision
The combined Comau and Automha booth provides a visionary roadmap for enhancement across all kinds of automation warehousing applications. The collaboration emphasizes that not every company needs to be a generalist and provide the entire solution by themself. Instead, manufacturers can combine forces and lean on mutual strengths to ensure that supply chain challenges are converted into successes, backed by support to build and scale the successes into the future.
