Key Features and Applications of the RSL 200

The RSL 200 has a modular design that features a user-friendly removable memory module that allows for fast replacement during troubleshooting and facilitates secure storage and accessibility of system configurations and updates. This eliminates the need for manual reconfiguration when replacing a defective unit, making maintenance simple. The new solution is equipped with dual connectivity, USB, and Bluetooth options that ensure flexible setup and fast data transfer with streamlined monitoring. To save more space, the solution features a rotatable M12 connector, reducing some of the headaches of wiring geometry limits.

With a 3-meter operating range, the new laser scanner features a wide scanning angle of up to 275°, making the solution suitable for use in AGV and AMR applications. The solution can dynamically adjust up to 32 customizable safety warning zones based on the direction of the vehicle, speed, and surroundings for optimal safeguarding.

To facilitate fast diagnostics, the new solution comes with the RSL 200 mobile app that works on both Android and iOS phones and tablets to offer real-time data access. This is essential if the solution is fixed in an inaccessible or restricted area, with data and alarm messages being easily received remotely through the app. If needed, digital file downloads can be directly sent to Leuze Service.

Another key application for this solution is to monitor hidden areas in industrial environments, ensuring restarts only take place when the operator is within a safe zone to eliminate the need for manual checks before restarts. Resistant to vibrations and shock, the scanner is equipped with a mounting bracket to ensure secure mounting and replacement with no need for realignment.
