STG Condenser Level Transmitter Fault
The DP transmitter itself is a pretty rugged beast, and can take significant overpressures, which is unlikely in the service that it's used for. There must be something wrong in one of the capillary tubes to cause the 15% offset. Are the capillaries and seals all-welded construction or are...

Then we open the diaphragm seal from impulse line. The remote diaphragm seal is usually a welded assembly to the capillary. You removed the capillary with its diaphragm from the transmitter body? Or you removed the remote diaphragm from its seal on the capillary? Did you pull a hard vacuum...

Flow measurement
I would re-phrase that to, "you need to zero trim at no flow to eliminate the differential offset at no flow". To my knowledge all industrial DP transmitters have a HART function to call the output zero (4.000mA) at whatever pressure 'remains' at zero flow. The offset can be due to a...

How to wire 3 Wire Modbus RTU to PC DB9
An RS-485 interface has never been 'standard' on a PC, it would be an added card. That card would have the wiring for the connector or terminal screws. Terminal screws tend to be more common for RS-485. DB-9 was the standard connector for RS-232 for the 'standard' serial port back when a...

Flow meter for Sulphuric Acid for 10LPH
Consider clamp-on ultrasonic because the materials of construction are not a factor since the meter transducers contact the outside of the pipe, not the medium itself. I think the Siemens clamp-on has transducers for a low 10LPH flow rate.

Type K thermocouple extension cable signal strength at 150M
Siemens has to answer as to what the effect of higher lead wire resistance is on the input circuit because that depends on the input circuit and its biasing current and that kind of information isn't covered in the marketing spec sheet. The lead wire resistance would have to be known: the...

Endress hauser sfdu91 sensor and rma42 transmitter
The FDU91 ultrasonic level sensor needs to connect to a device that - generates an excitation signal, - knows how to read the echo signal, - can interpret the temperature signal AND - can interpret the echo signal. The RMA42 does none of that. The manual for the SFDU91, page 4, says...

Honeywell Experion PKS Migration from R310 to R530
You might get a knowledgeable PKS customer to answer your question, but the full answer is typically a 20-40 page quotation from the Honeywell systems group (at least, that's the quote I saw for a one PKS version upgrade). If a PKS guy doesn't show up here, you'll need to contact Honeywell...

Mbus water meter stop talk after some hours
2. A few hours after software integration of the water meter loses its communication. There are 6 to 8 water meters Does only one water meter exhibit the intermittent communications failure? Does that failure affect any other devices on the same RS-485 bus?

Mbus water meter stop talk after some hours
1. The reading shown on the water meter and the reading shown in the software are not the same. 1. Flow is dynamic, so an instantaneous flow rate on the meter might have changed by the time a Modbus poll picks up the value and shows it. 3. Modbus, like other any other digital protocol I'm...
