Hello, I am an Electrical Engineer. I started my career in oil and gas as an instrument engineer. Kindly guide from where I can learn from basic.
Spend some time in the control room to understand what the operators have to deal with.

Why is there a large spread in the temperature measured by the exhaust thermocouples?
Sounds like you may be dealing with load changes on the turbine, the Gt experts will jump in soon

Sensor can fail. Are these RTD or T/C's.

Acidity measurement in molten sulphur
You don't measure the acidity on line, you heat and agitate the molten sulfur to purify it.

RTD Failure with corrosionand moisture
RTD's are traceably accurate, but are extremely vulnerable to high vibration if not mechanically secure. For example in thermowell installations, most RTD's have a vibration limit of 10G's (1 G is equivalent to a drop to the floor from a height of 1 meter), but vulnerable to sustained...

Capacitance of Intrinsically Safe Cables
Capacitance is strictly important when dealing with high voltage. With 24VDC current instrumentation wiring the risk of arcing is drastically smaller. If you are seeking explosion proof installations, even the maintenance procedures and proximity to dangerous substances are involve. Even then...

Exhaust TC low readings
Are two measurements involved? If so what sensor type (TC type, RTD) , wiring, and transmitters involved. The only way two sensor can read the same (within uncertainty limits) is if the sensor and transmitters have been calibrated in a lab traceable to a national standard.

High hydrogen comsuption
"What is the typical hydrogen usage for generation facilities? The amount of hydrogen used per day is generally a function of the power generator capacity and the condition of the generators hydrogen seals. The higher the capacity, the higher the hydrogen pressure required for sufficient heat...
