Load Gear Oil Leakage GE 6B Gas Turbine
Just had the same problem on four Frame 6 with new Flender horizontal box. Firstly we increased the vacuum but this did not totally correct the problem. We have a fully enclosed #2 bearing coupling guard and we felt that it was causing a slight "air whirl" problem and adding to the gearbox...

My French is good enough to understand most of your Alarms (Too many years with Alsthom!!) but a translation for other site users would be good. Can you put some time tags against these Alarms? Are they in chronological order already? Was this a sudden event only in the last few days with no...

starting device trip
Pretty well sure it is the clutch limit switch setting. The vibration of starting makes the switch open and trips the diesel engine. It's so easy to reset the switch setting I wouldn't be bothered thinking about logic forcing

Although PV's drawing showed the 33HR limit switch as internal, in fact it is mounted external to the Ratchet Module and is replaceable

GT turning gear operation
Take a look in GER 3620 Heavy Duty Gas Turbine Operating and Maintenance considerations. There is a table there in Appendix F that gives minimum Ratchet/Turning Gear durations for turbines in different states (e.g. Warm Rotor, Cold Rotor, etc) If you don't have a copy, drop me an Email to...

7FA IGV Servo Varnishing
You may be interested in either the CRV plate (Oil circulation system)supplied by Thomassen or one of the Balanced Charge Agglomeration filter systems (Isopur,Kleentek). Both seem to have good reputations in reducing servo sticking due to oil lacquering. If you want to drop me an Email at...

mark VI sequence program or ladder program
You can do a full print of the m6b file from Toolbox. Try print preview first and you will see a lot of print options. Depending on the unit, you could get around 1000 pages. If you want something to put on a PC, you can do a Metaprint which will produce various *.emf files for the software...

MRK6 unit trip
Need lots more information. You say Lube Header is low, what does the 163-1/2/3 mean? 20FG dumps control oil and has nothing to do with L.O. I'm guessing, but it looks like you are getting low L.O. pressure trips?? which, of course, will dump 20FG. Please read your P & IDs and give us some...

Backing up and recovering Mark V
One other way of doing CSAs method of a backup hard disk. On one site I managed to install plug-in hard disk caddies on the <I> computers and had one more PC in the workshop with the same caddy. It is then pretty easy to make hard disk copies and transfer them back and forward as you want.

SRV Upstream Low Pressure Problem
Firstly, you need to get an understanding of the SRV & GCV function and how they inter-relate to each other. Search the forum, there is lot's in here regarding SRV & GCV operation, & study your P&IDs and control specs. If your supply gas pressure is falling, exactly what has happened will...

We could do with a lot more information, when did this start? Have you been doing any work on the machine? First thought, are the Bleed Valves closing, are the IGVs opening?

A few questions. 1) Has this Real Time Plot ever run? 2) You say you have two <I>s connected, can you give details of how they are connected? 3)Does everything else on this <I> function? 4) Is the <I> showing any Diag. Alarms?

MARK V cumulative running hour error
This is a bit nasty. It sounds like something has gone wrong in the accumulator for your run hours data. This is all associated with the TOTD_Q.DAT file. Do you have a controls guy on site who is familiar with the Timers & Counters system and the associated accumulators?

Diagnostic alarm for Mark V
The usual question first, has any work been done on this machine recently? Firstly take the Prox 29 alarms out of the picture, that looks like a separate issue. Let's take all the PTR1/2 issues, this all coming from the <P> core X,Y & Z (TCE1)cards, or looks like it. Check all the ribbon...

GE part list
You mean you didn't get supplied with a parts manual as part of the machine documentation when the machine was supplied? You can't just ask for a parts manual for a Frame 9 DLN machine, every machine is different. I would go back to the OEM and ask for a manual for your machine.
