ABB AC80M Controller Problem

The problem is this that two indications of the controller keep on blinking:

One is the FAULT indication & the other is PRIM. These indications keep on blinking with some fixed frequency but the RUN indication is permanently lit.

We had replaced this controller with a brand new controller but the fault remained the same.

A few weeks back, this controller suddenly went on fault & the machine was shut down.

Kindly help us out in this issue so that this controller is healthy & should behave like other controllers at plant.

Waiting your response for the solution of this issue.

Check section 4 of the AC800M Hardware manual (3BSE 027 941) for a description of the LED's and Section 5 of the same manual for hardware troubleshooting. Be sure you are not confusing the Battery LED or are not seeing the battery LED showing through the other LED holes in the controller cover.

Did you change the controller hardware before or after the controller faulted?

Did you change the Base or only the controller? The base does contain some intelligence (e.g. the MAC address and IP address configuration) and can also be the source of your problem.

Is this a Redundant or standalone Controller?

Have you checked the controller logs and do they show any problems with the CEX bus or any modules on that bus or the CPU itself?

Did you check the controller logs at the time of the crash?

What versions of 800xA software, AC800M Firmware and Control Builder M are you running? Were you doing anything on the controller when it faulted (e.g. downloading software ?)

What is the Cyclic CPU load and memory usage of the controller?
