The Engineering station which I had been using is not having the latest program as in PLC. I am not sure of all the changes done meanwhile also. The only solution for me is to upload the application software from PLC to Engineering station Control Builder. How can I do the upload from PLC to control Builder

Unfortunately, there is no way to upload the project since it is, by nature, a DCS controller. You will have to rely on the CF card, if there is one on it, or rebuild the project. Sorry to deliver bad news

 

If your engineering station, which is using Control Builder, as part of the ADVANT system, then the controllers are most likely Masterview or AC450s. You can back up these databases either with a DUAPP, or a SOURCE CODE DUMP.

However, if you are indeed speaking of a real true PLC device, then this is not possible.

Control Builder M for AC800M Series - NO not a chance.

Control Builder F for Freelance Series - NO not a chance

Control Builder A for Advant 400 Series and MasterPiece MP200 series- Absolutely. Its a core function, but if you have lost the User Disk, then the documentation is missing. The User disk backup is stored in the controller.

Control Builder A for Advant AC100 Series, MP100, MP50 etc - NO Not a chance.

I think that someone in the forum is facing the similar problem. You could ask him if he achieve progress in subject. Viktor Tadjer was the name as I remember.
