Weidmuller Launches DURAmax DC UPS for 24V Power Backup Systems

Weidmuller USA recently released the DURAmax DC UPS, a compact 24 V uninterruptible power supply designed to keep PLCs, sensors, and other automation devices operating through power interruptions. Along with battery backup, the system provides USB-C configuration, real-time monitoring, LED status indicators, and battery management features. PUSH-IN connections simplify installation, while compatibility with Weidmuller’s PRO ECO II, PRO TOP, PRO MAX, and DURA ECO products lets users build integrated 24 V power systems for control cabinets and industrial equipment.

USB-C Configuration and System Monitoring

The DURAmax UPS does more than provide battery backup. It also offers tools for configuration, status monitoring, and battery management, all in a compact design that fits into tight control cabinets. One key feature is the DURAmax DC UPS Manager software. Users connect to the UPS with USB-C to set up the device and battery modules. The Windows software shows real-time system status and performance. The UPS also has LED indicators for operating mode, faults, and battery condition, so technicians can quickly check the system without extra tools.

DURAmax uses temperature-compensated charging to help the battery work well in different conditions. Deep-discharge protection extends battery life and reduces maintenance. The battery cold-start feature lets the system start from battery power when needed. The DURAeco battery line uses sealed, maintenance-free, lead-fleece batteries with temperature sensors for charging and battery life.
