Hello all,

I am trying to access the comms settings of an Eurotherm 3216 controller. I am following the instructions provided in the manual found at https://www.eurotherm.com/download/3116-3216-engineering-handbook-ha027986-iss-2/ .

I believe I have changed the operator level to configuration and am trying to cycle through menus as described in a diagram on page 27 (section 2.3 navigation diagram) of the document above. However, I cannot access all of the menus shown in the diagram. Starting on a screen showing ConF, pressing the page button cycles through the first few menus as expected, INPUT, IO-1, OP-2, AA, but from that point pressing page again skips several menus straight to ACCES, before starting the loop again. This means I cannot access COMMS as described in the manual.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to diagnose this and was hoping somebody here could alert me to what I may be missing.

I do apologise, but some information in the above post is slightly incorrect, after reaching menus AA, in the above explanation, pressing page again moves to ALARM, then RECIP, then CAL, before finally ACCES. This still involves skipping over several expected menus between AA and ACCES. Including the desired COMMS menu.

 

Once again I must apologise, I have spoken with a supervisor of mine and discovered that the unit i have been attempting to communicate with is not fitted with a comms slot, so the settings are obviously inaccessible.
