Hi everybody,
I work in a metals smelting plant. I have a batching system for charging of raw material into furnaces in batch mode. The system uses four electromagnetic vibrators to feed material into a weighing hopper. The hopper has got 3 strain gauge type load sensors that transmit weight signal to the batching controller. The batching controller uses weight signals and controls all 4 vibrators to feed correct qty of raw material (solid only) as per recipe set points. After weighing of batch, the material discharges over a conveyor thro discharge feeder.
Presently Philips (PR1592) controllers are working fine, but I need to replace as these are obsolete, no support from OEM and also these do not integrate with PLC ( no communication facility).
I proposed for SARTORIUS Controller (PR 5500) but need to find some more vendors. Can somebody share their exp and renowned / time proven makes for this application. Also comment on their ability to integrate with PLC systems.
