Hi Community,
Can anyone help me regarding the calculations of the Incomer Cable sizes for the Centrifugal Chiller? Should we consider the VFD MOC or the Compressor MCC or the Chiller Full load current for the cable selection? I think the VFD MOC might oversize the Incomer cable size, any inputs are appreciated. Thank you in advance!

 

VSD( VVVF) is always is one step over rated of motor in order to supply higher current at lower speed ( low voltage than nominal power supply ) then cable sizing shall follow sizing of VSD as well.
