Hi all,
A while back (longer than I'd like to admit) an idea was spurred on this forum to create a specialized wiki for our industry. We've finally gotten our act together to launch it, and it may be found at controlwiki.com (as well as a few other addresses).
A few more details may be found in a press release on the new site, at http://controlwiki.com/index.php/Press:2009_09_ControlWiki_Launch (or, just go there and search for Press).
Right now it's pretty empty, but this is an invitation for our many knowledgeable contributors to this forum to start authoring pages for the wiki on specific topics relating to automation and control.
I know there may be questions as to why a separate wiki might be needed for such information. We're hoping (and planning) to work toward integrating this site with the Control.com forum, to create a more information-rich environment. We can only do this if we have some control over both sites. Some of the possibilities include cross-linkages, listings of related messages/articles, author pages (including Control.com forum member pages), etc.
I'd love to hear from any of you with your thoughts and ideas.
In the meantime, please consider contributing to the wiki. At this point, a separate (minimal) login is required, but if you use your Control.com username it will simplify integration in the future.
Regards to all,
