CT excitation curve

Hi there,

I was wondering what happens if the voltage for which I want to check the ratio error isn't displaying on the graphic. Can I use interpolation to have the current or is the CT not working properly on that particular secondary voltage?

Thank you and have a nice day.

Fred, if the question is related to your previous 29-Sep-08 (08:24) query, the answer is no!

Furthermore, the X-axis of a CT's excitation-curve is not indicative of loss. The 300:5 CT you mentioned has a secondary-winding resistance that is less than the resistance of a one with a lower ratio. Thus, the CT with a higher ratio will exhibit less loss. Did you mistakenly refer to meter loss when you intended to say CT loss?
