So as a New maintenance tech in a glass Factory Who does not know Much about pneumatics fittings, I have Been facing this recurring issue with a vacuum lifting machine. The fitting keeps letting go and my buddy coworker
is exposed to danger.
The fitting hardware in question is a Quick connect push type fitting 90 degrees elbows with a NPT 1/2 Thread I believe, fitting Thread is 0.510" ish, tube OD is 0.500", with a sort of plastic robe and métal retainers, in this case it seems to have Been lost probably due to bad removal last time , the one I just installed was New but its the last one I have. For you experts, I put a similar brand New plastic blue Festo (All plastic however) to show the Quick connect type.
There is conic type straight connector in that particular Line from the problematic elbows fitting to the machine urself, that thing is ROCK SOLID RELIABLE, I would étant my elbows Quick connect to ne of that type if possible, but with a swivel juste like my problematic fitting.
Any advice on hard Ware would be really helpful, looking through my boxes I cant Seen to find anything of interest.
