Diesel Engine Alternator -Short circuit current - 300% for 10s

The specification requires "Maintaining a sustained short-circuit current of at least 300% of the rated current for 10 seconds," yet I have only observed up to manufacturers offering it 300% for 5 seconds. This is in reference to a diesel engine generator with capacities from 1.5 MW to 5 MW. Why is it that alternator manufacturers can only meet this specification for 5s? What prevents them from achieving 10s?

To meet the requirement of sustaining a short-circuit current of 300% for 10 seconds, alternator manufacturers would likely need to employ advanced materials, innovative designs, and potentially higher costs, which may not be economically viable for many applications.
