DP Xmitter Range

Dear All;
I want to know some mathematics about DP transmitter used for flow measurement along with orifice plate.

I Know The Range 0-2350 Kg/Hr. The current flow indication is 610 Kg/Hr === (610/2350)X 100 = 25.95 % of the total flow
(25.95/10)^2 = @ 6.7 % of the total DP range of transmitter.

My question is with this much stuff can i find out the range of the transmitter for which it is calibrated & the DP corresponding to the flow 610 Kg/Hr? Pl. guide.

No Just From the range of Indicating Instrument You can not find the DP Tx Range. You need additional information

Differential pressure can be used to measure flow. In the best of cases, the flow is proportional to the square-root of the differential pressure, but sometimes a lookup table is needed. The proportionality constant (or lookup table) is a property of the mechanical device that causes the differential pressure. If your case this is an orifice plate. There is a document, written by the orifice place manufacturer, that tells you what the constant is, or how to calculate it, for your application. You will have to find this document or you will forever be guessing.

Hi,
If you have detailed calculation sheet from the Orifice manufacturer you can do reverse calculations based on the DP generated but still it is very difficult to know the range over which transmitter is calibrated till you see the calibration certificate from the transmitter manufacturer. Reverse calculation can help you to re-calibrate the transmitter to your requirement.
