I have a DG with 39 KVA, connected to a main Panel with 2 breakers, one for AC equipments (220 V) and the other for Huge LED Display (32A, 220V, 1 Ph,)

the breakers rating inside the main Panel is 40 A. when we start the DG ON it trips directly, and the breakers inside the main Panel are still ON. the tripping is happening only for the Generator breaker. the generator breaker rating is 125 A,

when we connect the display direct to the generator still the generator is tripping.

when we connect the generator to the AC breaker only the generator is still working fine,

any ideas for that issue?

It would seem that you are starting the diesel generator with all the breakers closed (ON); is that correct?

At what speed is the main AC breaker tripping?

I forgot to ask: When did this problem start? If so, what changed before the problem started? Was more load added to the AC equipments breaker? Is the Huge LED Display newly added to the DG output?

Do you have any nameplate data on the LED display? Such as current draw, power factor, reactive power rating, etc.?

 

Thair... how large is the load vs the load?
