How to achieve Parallel Operation of More than 1 Diesel Generators (Common Gen Bus ) and Utility Transformer

Greetings All,
Protection SLD regarding the above thread for parallel operation of EDG and Uninterrupted changeover to mains ( i.e. momentary synchronization during changeover) is attached,. Comments, suggestion, critical analysis will be much appreciated

Hello

I would suggest you to study Dead bus operation as it seems that the Controller got such function

Otherwise are those ¨PTs upstream the line of Generator /Transformer incomer Breaker..dedicated for synchronization or protection?

What you're trying to achieve can easily be accomplished with many off the shelf or PLC based systems. You need a generator synchronizer/load share controller on each generator (Woodward, COMAP, DSE etc.) which will balance be power output from each Genset in Island Mode.

Forget about the "ATS" shown, you need a 4th controller to back--synchronise to the upstream network. This communicates with the generator load share controls to match Island freq/voltage to upstream and close breaker.

Controls aside though... The fault current on the LV network is certain to exceed the 50kA rating you've shown, particularly with the contribution from upstream network included.
