Hello,
I need an explanation for intermittent duty of motor actuators. I know that according to IEEE definition, these motors are meant to work in run stop run stop... mode.
However I don't understand how they are classified. They are classified according "as 5, 15, 30, and 60 minutes under full load." but don't really understand what this means. (http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3726/is_200005/ai_n8884178/)
There is also different rating such as: "intermittent duty S4 - 25 %" In this case, % is used instead of minutes. Can anyone elaborate this with more details?
Thanks
