I'm trying to add a modbus point to ION 7550 default modbus map by using ion setup but
the "add" button is not enabled. Did the modbus point already maxed out?

Most Modbus slave/servers that are field devices do not have editable slave maps. PLCs, PACs, DCSs, wireless gateways are more likely to have an editable slave/server map.

It seems that if you selected "Default" in the Modbus Slave Mode Setup, the register mapping may not be editable. It appears you would instead need to select "Modified" in the Modbus Slave Mode Setup to be able to add additional mappings to the default Modbus map.

Thank you for the response, the configuration for ion 7550 does not have the selection option. Another meter we have is PM8240, it has that selection page.

Is there other way to activate or enable the digital input in ion 7550 so that it can be linked to the Vista for circuit breaker status?

Hi,

I also tried this method but it does not allow me to add modbus register. The "add" button is not enabled, I don't know if the meter already maximized the number of modbus registers.
