I would like to to find out what type of control system would be used for the New 130 MW frame 9 GE Gas Turbines to be used in a 600MW Power Generation System in the Chevron- Gorgon Oil & Gas Project in Western Australia?

 

Stranger things have happened, but GE are not generally agreeable to using any other control system on their heavy duty gas turbines other than the Mark series of Speedtronic controls.

GE Energy will probably use the Mark VIe Speedtronic turbine control system.

But, on second thought there's always the possibility they will use the Mark VIeS (SIL-rated) control system, since Australia is one of "those" countries that has adopted the IEC Safety Instrumented $ystem dictates (I think it's IEC-61508 and IEC-61511 that Australia has adopted, but I don't know what the Australian code/code numbers are.)
