One of our machine was shut down normally as a result vibration from bearing #3. The GT was left alone due to non- availability of spare parts.
After several weeks, it was discovered that all information on the totalizer page such totalizer, counter and timer were all showing zeros. The machine is GE frame VI Gas turbine using Mark VI control system.
Please, I do welcome all the necessary suggestions on the causes and the solution to the problem because the expected spare parts are now available.

Thank you, How do I identify the battery that has problem from the three controller (UCVE) of R,S,T rack. Is it by testing the voltage of the battery on after the othet

 

It depends. Do you have the UCVE’s that allow you to remove the batteries? If you do you can just remove and replace them. The early revisions of that Unit Controller had the batteries soldered in and you have to unsolder them to test. Best to send them into GTC and have the batteries replaced.
You can force the logic to add time and counters in the mean time. You will lose them every time you reboot the controllers tho.

Yes as others have stated, there are two batteries located on your UCV(X) card. Fairly common for them to go flat and when the controller is powered down you loose timers and counters (Totalizers). There is also TIL 1650 that covers the storage settings for the dipswitches so the batteries wont go flat in storage.

However you can still correct the Totalizers in the meantime.

You will require a password from GE that is normally valid for 24 hours, for some of the times and counters.

As others have mentioned some can be changed by forcing logic depending on your configuration.

GEH-403L Chapter 3 covers the procedure for modifying Totalizer Values.
