Has anybody got any ideas how to backup a Moore 353 Controller (now Siemens).

The Iconfig software appears to be obsolete and nobody has it, not even the re-sellers. So wondering if anybody has used any other kind of software to recover config back-ups?

 

I really doubt that there was ever any other software than iConfig for the 353. If my memory is right, it took Siemens 4-5 years to update iconfig to whatever the current Windows version was at the time after they bought Moore. I don't think iConfig went beyond XP, but my memory could be wrong.

Most of the guys who were fluent in 353 logic are gone and with their departure from the work force, the copy of the installation software they used has disappeard, too.

A 2017 request for a copy of iConfig on PLCs.net went unanswered.

If I can find contact info for a former Moore guy who did 353's I'll see if he has anything left.
