I am new to MODBUS programming. I know TCP/IP programming. Can anyone suggest me what needs to be done, I mean how to start, how to proceed with the programming.

An interesting phenomenon in Modbus/TCP is the issue of 'malformed TCP packets'.

Mr. Hulsebos explains the phenomenon on Linkedin's Modbus forum.
