I need to establish communication between PC and Jagxtreme to fetch actual weight, target weight (set point), tolerance from Jagxtreme terminal. What do I need to do (on Jagextreme side, e.g. set up)? Are there sets of commands which can be issued from PC, and Jagxtreme sends above required data as reply? I wish to use RS 232 link of Jagxtreme. I could not find any useful literature at MT.COM. Can someone render help?

There are a few different methods available to access data through the serial ports of the JAGXTREME. The JAGXTREME can be set up for a continuous dialogue that will send 18 ASCII characters at 20 hz. There is also the ability to configure a data string that is sent upon demand of an ASCII "P", or you can create a serial protocol of your own using the bulit-in scripting language JAGBASIC. Here is a link to an OPC Server for Mettler-Toledo Jagxtreme Terminals (and many other models). It supports both serial and Ethenet connections.

You didn't mention what application on the PC you are wanting the data for. HMI? Historian? VB app? There are many OPC clients available depending on what you want to do with the data.

We are facing the same problem of the communication between PC and jagxtreme by using the RS232. Is there any possibility that after the power off some of the basic parameter/settings get disturb and need to be re configured to establish this communication?
