How we can determine the power losses in power capacitors installed in APFC panel
what is the effect of leading power factor on KW consumed

Responding to Anonymous' Nov 12 4:07pm queries... power loss is best determined by actual input power measurement.

If such a technique is unavailable but capacitor case size is known, then temperature-rise over ambient will yield a good approximation!

If additional info is required, let me know!

Further to my Nov 14 response to Anonymous' query...

1) Depending on dielectric and cooling media, loss ranges from 0.2 to 0.7 percent per kVAr!

2) Leading power factor is only beneficial to the utility supplying your facility's! Unity pf results in minimum current through the supply feeder. Any other pf, whether lagging or leading, requires the same current. Thus, feeder losses remain the same. The Pythagorean theorem is the highest math you neeed to prove it!
