I'm designing an extinguishing system for pumping station. There are valves with thermal protection inputs going to my PLC. What this "thermal protection" input stands for?

 

You'll have to give us a little more information on the type of valves you have. Are they thermal valves that operate on temperature? Or valves that have actuators thermally (and maybe overload) protected?
