We have a Berthold UniProbe LB 490 radiometric level transmitter installed on our pool reactor vessel containing carbamate solution. Recently, we have been experiencing recurring IOP alarms for the level detector on our DCS.
The steps taken so far:
- Loop integrity checked multiple times.
- Cables replaced throughout the loop.
- Connections at junction boxes and marshalling cabinets verified—no loose connections found.
Despite these efforts, the issue persists intermittently rather than being continuous. We now suspect a possible issue with the evaluation electronics of the transmitter.
Are there specific diagnostic checks to verify the evaluation electronics?
