We have ROTORK valves, has an actuator model IQ10 , the problem is the local/remote mode doesn't works, we couldn't manipulate the valve locally or from control room (we can't open or close the valve ).

the actuator display displayed an alarm triangle (see the bellow photo) .

when we consulted the diagnostic menu on the valve with the remote control, we found

"torque sensor".

how to test the sensor or confirm that it is damaged before replacing it

please someone help me to solve this problem as soon as possible and it's the first time I work with this kind of valves.

 

Hello, I have same issue with this alarm.
Because of this the Valve can not be operated either Local or remote.
The only solution is whether you can use Handwheel if you have on ROTORK Actuator.
While trying to operate using Handwheel just try to set the Open and Close Position using the software.
For my self, the only solution has to be changed the Sensor with the new one.
Also I had to turn on the bypass Torque to see whether the Actuator can move the Valve based on real Torque Value.
After that then I will set the open based on torque value and close based on position.
