I need a formula which could plot circle given center and radius. The drive takes command voltage as input. The formula or algorithm requires to send voltages to the drive with which the motor can plot the arc. the position is controlled by the encoder which is read in the computer.

In order to make a 2 axis device track a circle, it is normal to send a sine wave to the one axis and a cosine of the same angle to the other, amplitude of the wave determines the radius of the circle.

The principle will need some elaboration to achieve what you are after but once understood the basic principle will set you free.

Y = R * cos Phi + Y0;

x = x0 + r * cos(t)
y = y0 + r * sin(t)

as t runs from 0 to 360 degrees.
