Dear All

Im using STEP 7 Professional Edition 2006 SP5 and WinCC V7.0 SP1 HF1. Its not PCS7 project. But my config is similar to that. I have an ES and an OS(Step7 project with integrated WinCC project). I have configured ES with two CP1613 (fault tolerant connection with PLC) and I can able to download to the PLC. It is working fine.

I have configured WinCC project in the OS (fault tolerant connection with PLC) and assigned the target OS path also. I have tried to download the WinCC project to the OS from ES. The downloading started and the WinCC project was copying. As the last step of download it was trying to open the WinCC project and initilaizing the project. There was a error saying that "project couldnt be opened" "SQL server cant access data".

When I try to open the downloaded project in OS, then first the Local server error appeared. I have selected the option that open with local server. The second error was "the user dont have permission to open the project".

What is the cause of this error? The config is done as per the manual only.

To the second error... You have to name the server as your local machine, if you want to open it. Just go to the "Computer" item, left click the configured server and set its name as your local computer. In wincc 7 there is the button "Use local computer name". This was the cause of the previous error message when opening the project.

And to the first question, this randomly happened to me, too, by wincc 7. the cause was that the wincc process was running in the background. Try killing processes CCProjectMgr.exe before you compile the os. Let me know if it helped.

Thanks for your reply. The problem is solved now. There was some problem in the Security and Sharing settings of the folder. Its fine now.

watt is the problem in the sharing folder?
i have the same problem...
I have 1 server and 3 clients but, i can`t rum the project in "OS" because permissions...
