Siemens S7-1211 connection to PC HMI

Hi all,

I have a S7-1211 PLC which I'm using to learn PLC programming. I can connect to the PLC from my PC and program it using TIA portal V18. When connected as below.



But now I want to use PC HMI. If I connect to the PC Station as below. I can no longer go online to the PLC.


Anything I've found so far on Youtube shows the above configuration working, but in simulation. Not with a real PLC.

Help greatly appreciated.
