Hi all. Im a drinking water operator in central pa. I dont know allot about plcs....just enough to be dangerous. Recently an integrator has taken our old tsx quantums offline and replaced with allen bradly. Problem is we had some complicated code assisting our pid loops for control of coagulation chemical dosing. Now nothing works and the integrator is "blaming it on the french" ... that the code in the tsx quantums cant be translated to work in an AB plc. Am I being bullshitted?

 

Trust and confidence has to be earned by your contractor, when in doubt contact AB, at least get a second assessment

 

Plant upgrades don't happen in a vacuum, as the engineering firm hired by the owner to organize the upgrade, is obligated to insure functionality of the new system.
