I have a setup where an SIEMENS PLC is talking to a WAGO I/O chassis over Profibus. Is there a way I can sniff the bus to understand and validate the communication latency between the two controllers?

I also have an AB HMI unit connected to the Profibus. We don't have the HMI configuration to know how some of the Booleans on HMI are connected to PLC Tags. Do you know if any of the tools mentioned in your previous post can help us identify the tag connections if we can watch the bus while triggering the HMI button?

 

These tools generally capture messages identifying the Profibus addresses of the devices involved.
