why spin reverse of STG (i.e. 0.5MW) is less as compared to GT (4~5MW or even more)?
For GE-design heavy duty gas turbines, spinning re<b>serve</b> is usually an adjustable value. It's usually set to a value that results in stable operation. If the value is too low, then the fuel flow might not be very stable (especially on some gas fuels). But, it can be set higher, or even lower if the operation is deemed stable.
But, unless there is some operational characteristic that limits the minimum load there's no particular reason why they can't be the same, or why they have to be the same, or why they have to be different.
