We built a Modbus Simulator for a very practical reason.
While developing and testing our TamidaS IoT Platform, we frequently needed to test Modbus communication without always having access to the actual PLC, energy meter, sensor or field device.
So, we built our own simulator.
It became a useful tool for our development and testing team.
Then we thought:
If this is useful for us, it might be useful for other engineers too.
So instead of keeping it as an internal tool, we decided to make the TamidaS Modbus Simulator available for public use — completely FREE.
It can be useful when you want to:
→ Test SCADA or HMI applications
→ Develop Industrial IoT integrations
→ Test Modbus communication without physical hardware
→ Verify register mapping and data reading
→ Develop and debug Modbus-based applications
→ Run demos, training or proof-of-concepts
Sometimes, having a simple simulator can save a lot of time when the actual field device isn't sitting next to you.
No hardware. No setup complexity. Just simulate and test.
