turbine control system

we have 10 turbines (turbocompressor) type GE- PGT10 controlled by Suvimac 2 and 8 turbines (turbogenerator) controlled by speedtronic MK2 (semiconductor technology) with maximum power 3.5 MW.

my question is:

MK VIe speedtronic control system is appropriate for our application?

Mark VIe would be a very good choice for both applications. I believe GE have an integrated turbine and compressor control (ITCC) option for Mark VIe which would simplify the controls required for the turbocompressors, and by also using Mark VIe for the turbogenerators you could have a common platform with many shared components (reduced spare parts inventory), a common user interface (HMI), and a common troubleshooting and configuration application (ToolboxST).

A PLC control system from an independent system integrator could also be used here as a cheaper alternative

Hello ramez,

Could you tell us where this PGT10's are located. We are having 4 PGT 10 for power generation having Suvimac 2 and we are also planning for control system upgrade. It will be nice if we can exchange mails.
