Dear sir,

We use MkIV control system in one of our Gas turbine and would like to go for either MkVI OR MkVIe HMI control. Which one is preferred? How long MkIV control system speedtronic cards will be available in the Market? and its support?

Mark IV cards are no longer available from GE, but there are several sources, including one who supports this forum, Gas Turbine Controls (www.gasturbinecontrols.com).

An HMI is the operator interface for a control system. GE no longer produces the Mark VI, and are currently selling Mark VIe. I would estimate and this is just a personal observation, that the supported product life cycle for Mark VIe by GE would likely be another 10 years or longer.

MKIV cards are available as stated by previous reply from others, however the main problem you face is the support engineers being available for works on MKIV. There are other non-OEM companies who can offer alternative control systems for a lot cheaper. This may be worth consideration.
