VT primary grounding with LCI system

In GE gas turbines with LCI(load commutated inverter) being used as starting device, generator VT primary is not grounded probably considering protection of LCI in case of ground fault?

What could be impact of ungrounded primary of PT on measurements or protection?

What if we still ground PT primary side, because PT has a very high impedance for ground faults?

EXCELLENT question for GE's PAC (Power Answer Center). If you operate an F-class machine, you likely have access to the PAC.

I believe if you ground the primary VT windings you will essentially be grounding the generator windings....
