An Innovative Solution For Your Automation Needs.
Baumer’s ultrasonic sensor, the UF200, is a slim, front-mounted sensor with an impressive depth of only 20.5mm (0.807 inches), making it suitable for applications in confined spaces. The UF200 series is known for its remarkably short blind range and its ability to detect objects up to 2000mm away, making it ideal for various industrial applications such as material handling, fill level measurement, entryway detection, and integration into mobile equipment. With its high processing speed capability, the UF200 delivers an impressive response time of up to 10ms.
The Baumer Group has equipped the UF200 with an IO-Link interface, providing end users with access to a range of intelligent filter options. These options encompass an adaptive sonic cone and an intelligent disruption filter, enabling the sensor to be configured to detect challenging objects, adjust the cone for fitting into small openings, and implement a filter to prevent interference from agitators or other objects. All these features ensure accurate point-level detection. These functionalities, in conjunction with others, render the UF200 suitable for reliable use across a diverse range of applications.

The NexSonic Ultrasonic Sensors
The UF200 sensor is the latest addition to Baumer's cutting-edge ultrasonic sensor lineup in the NexSonic generation. This lineup of ultrasonic sensors also includes the U300, the UR12, the UR18, and the U500. Each family varies in size, shape, and industrial capability, providing machine builders with a wide array of choices to meet specific application needs.
- The UF200 is an ultra-flat front-mount sensor.
- The U300 is a cubic sensor.
- The UR12 is a cylindrical sensor designed for confined spaces.
- The U500 is a robust cubic sensor
- The UR18 is a robust cylindrical sensor.
Each sensor in the NexSonic generation can meet specific detection needs for different sizes, shapes, distances, and smart functions, making them the best-in-class performance sensors for integrators.
These sensors excel in applications where space is at a premium. Precise operations such as detecting circuit boards, fill rates on chemical tanks, or monitoring machine vibrations to detect failures are possible use cases for the NexSonic sensors. The wide variety of sensors offered by Baumer ensures that engineers can find a sensor that meets their use case.
